kids these days. cannot punish, cannot scold, cannot beat, cannot, cannot, CANNOT!

pui, my foot ah! look at (most) kids these days...

when i was a kid, i never recalled any other kids talking back to their teachers. why? because when we were naughty our teachers punished us in such a way that made sure we never repeated any bad habits. ever.

when teachers scold, or even if anyone else scold us!(not only teachers) we simply take it as a process of learning. result: see what good kids my generation ARE then u'll understand la, really, for eg, i'm a good kid leh. haha

now, we have to scold them in a proper manner. what "soft approach" watever crap, if it doesn't work then what? u continue to be nice then get walked over meh?! kids these days are good at bullying u regardless of gender or age ok.. anyway it's not like the soft approach works what.

even a friend mentioned today, our present generation's attitudes these days really cannot make it!

i say, spare the rod and u get shit kids. seriously, they will say what they want, do what they like, with no respect or sensitivity whatsoever, and then teachers get the sack for even touching them. even the word 'sorry' is dirt cheap these days, is there any difference in saying sorry and not saying it? pple know whether u really mean it lor.

hmph, what would u do? if these kids were out there somewhere they would have gotten slapped, punched and kicked at already. feel like doing it all the time (esp with this 8 year old boy i'm giving tuition to, who is absolutely hyperactive, talkative and cannot sit still for a whole 5 minutes), but since i have super high tolerance and control, i try to 'teach' them with words, chay also dun work! tell him to shut up also cannot cos he thinks it's funny (but at least he will be a LITTLE more obedient because seems like i'm more stern with him by telling him to shuttup haha), sigh how leh? i'm practically holding him down physically for 1.5 hours, faints.

oh, even the 2 words "shut up" take on different meanings. like to my 8 year old kid, it's funny but seems to help the situation. to others it means i'm being Mean but is there any lesson learnt from it at all? my "shut up" is for educational purposes lor...haha

at least my 8 year old kid survived it...also it's easier to say "shut up" instead of "please can you stop talking rubbish?" 2 vs 6 words. and saying the 6 nicer words (3x the breath wasted also leh) may not even have any effect at all, sorry but i'll stick with my "Shut up" even if it means i'm being mean. it works all the time anyway.

heh heh heh *evil laughter*

good luck to all my tuition kids.
