We spent the whole day at Everland :) had to join the morning rush – they are everywhere across the world – except that in Seoul the ppl are Super orderly – they queue up to enter the train, no pushing at all! The pushing happens in the trains when pple move from cabin to cabin – esp the ajumas, BUT aside from that, they REALLY queue up to enter the train. I’m impressed :)
And so, we spent the whole day in everland until abt 8pm plus before going back – when we were back at hoegi, we met up with At-zhi onni to go sul-jib – jean’s friend was workin there so we had free food and free drinks, on top of what we had ordered.
Had ra-meon and rice cake – dun really like rice cake – toooo starchy haha. Ordered a jug of orange mixed with soe-ju, think it was of higher alcohol level so we got red faster – learnt a new word – chi = drunk. Haha….we had free cider drinks from jean’s friend – his name is myeong woo - china boy who looks like a korean. and he pinched jean's arm, so funny.
On the way back, we saw a drunk man snoring on the side of the road. Haha, seldom see that – I suddenly laughed – dunno if it’s the soju.....
Tmr its Premium outlets at yeo-ju!
Lots of travelling here, and walking – my poor legs haha. but im loving it!hmmm i still dun
C.O.E.X mall is a more attas area to go shopping – I finally bought the pretty handphone straps from ArtBox, also got the KyungHee Korean textbook elementary 2 to revise on my own b4 I decide to re-start Korean lessons at
We headed to the kimchi field museum at basement 2, dunno why it’s a field museum but there’s definitely no grass there, and it’s more like a big shop but not a field. Oh well, haha I learnt more abt kimchi! Its really an acquired taste and a healthy one indeed! EVERYONE should eat kimchi and be healthy :)
Met xia ling (taiwanese friend) and her friends – from china and hk – one onni (her name's le zhou i think) was really nice and kept chatting with us. Went to galleria to walk around – even more expensive than taka leh! All branded stuff – but I managed to find my tootsie rolls in the supermarket at the basement :) cheaper than online sprees and sooooo juicy yummy! Going to buy more when I get my hands on them, maybe lotte mart or E-mart have them :)
Dinner was at kyo-chon – a restaurant opened by Shinhwa – selling chicken. Quite good and tasty, the spicy ones were shiok!
Oh I just remembered – yesterday on the way back to hoegi station with chiko and jean, an ajushi boarded the train and started shouting – I had to laugh because he was so drama and kept saying, “Bi-ah-nay-yo! I’m sorry!” in both Korean and English – jean said he was saying that the Chinese are good! Haha, dunno whether he’s mad or drunk but I was afraid he might come over and start shouting at us. Thank goodness he only went up and down the same cabin with really disturbing anyone.
And then, when we alighted at Hoegi, a boy, mayb uni student was leaning over the metal bars while waiting for his train. His cap dropped onto the tracks – guess what? He jumped into the tracks, retrieved his cap, and climbed up on the side where we were watching him from. Amazing stuff they do huh! thank goodness he had enough time, since the arrival bell for the train had not rung yet. Haha, if anyone did that in
ANYWAY its Everland tmr! Yeah!
Checked in early at t1 – went to t2 to kaypoh abit b4 chagia walked me to my gate when he ended work – so sweet. I was pretty excited about travelling on flight all by myself!
reached HK at
And funny thing is there were no obvious information counters and no 24 hour convenience stores. What if pple need emergency items while in transit – having the perfume shop open will not help! Am glad changi airport has 7-eleven
Oh well, so at 1220am I boarded the flight – strangely the whole flight was so crowded, unlike the flight from SIN to HK, there were mainly Koreans. They all did one thing the moment they got settled in their seats – took off their shoes – so I did the same!shiok la:)
Took the bus from the airport to meet her at cheongnyangi – finally reached her place – with no lifts, we had to drag the luggage up FOUR floors. Made my first friend – chiko sshi from
Jean brought me around her school before meeting up with chiko to eat my FIRST meal in
Next was Shopping at edae, walking on the piano street, chongaychon river (it’s a really clean man made river so we sat on steps and soaked our feet in it for a good 30 minutes – so refreshingly cool!), jajangmeon for dinner – tastes normal lor, just that the noodles are really smooth and goes down well – 3000W which is S$4. I got a t-money which is like our ez-link card, one thing different is that the t-money’s really cute! They come in small cards thingy that can be used as phone accessories – not like the boring standard ez-link cards.
Next friend made – xia ling from kao shiung,
Slept really early cos was tired out from the travelling – more updates tmr!
